On occasion of Shiv Jayanti (birth anniversary of the great progressive king Shivaji Maharaj), the Anubhuti-mentored Badlache Parv Kala Manch youth cultural group were invited to perform at a housing society’s function in Badlapur.
This was facilitated by one of the group’s members – a young woman – whose relatives live in this area. Her efforts ensured that the housing society’s earlier typical function was enriched with a performance espousing the progressive, democratic, feminist history of Shivaji Maharaj.
Books such as Govind Pansare’s “Shivaji Kon Hota”, songs by senior shahirs are being studied by these youth and are guiding them in their intellectual, ideological, and cultural journey.
