With increasing response and invites from colleges who cater to students from NT-DNT, rural, marginalized backgrounds, regarding our youth mental health and mental justice sessions, we are getting the opportunity to engage with these institutions, students and teachers in other districts too.

Recently we had such an opportunity, thanks to NT-DNT activist and Prof Vinayak Lashkar, who organized a workshop with students of his institution – the Tuljaram Chaturchand College in Baramati. Students from the Social Sciences and Psychology departments along with teachers from more departments including Philosophy, Sanskrit, Political Science and Computer Science participated.

Our takeaway was the richness of experiences, knowledge, intellectual and emotional capacities of these students to better understand and uphold mental justice who have faced and overcome challenges to continue in higher education.
