Celebrated International Women’s Day with almost 100 women from 10 different villages with majority from NT-DNT, Adivasi communities and also from Dalit and Bahujan communities..
Starting with remembering Savitribai Phule, we discussed our foremothers and forefathers and the movement they built giving us Justice, democracy Equity freedom, anti-hate Constitutional and feminist values, rights and thoughts.
Through emotional activities like taking our name with our mother’s name, remembering a woman due to whom we are standing today, as well as games and songs, we continued weaving the threads of the movement connecting us to our leaders and icons as well as the countless women who are feminists in their own right.. A whole day of intellectual discussions with enjoyment, learning, crying, laughing, dancing..
