On 3rd May, we recently had a team training on working with communities – with an intersectional lens. We shared our challenges and learnt about aspects like effective communication with different groups, presenting our objective clearly, listening, working on our biases, and learning from the community. Our main focus was on maintaining a ‘Community Lens’ and respecting ‘Community Agency’.
Our team also being maximum youth and women, and maximum from Dalit, Bahujan, NT-DNT communities, this lived expertise is being leveraged to further build capacities to work across sectors with criminalized, migrant, intersectional groups.
