Continuing our Historical Ideological Journey campaign, we have till date gone on tour with hundreds of children, adolescents, youth and women to these ancient sites of Indian history.. a history that is rich with learning, intellectual leadership, scientific thinking, environmental closeness, architectural and engineering marvels. This kind of immersive on-site experience, is not just a matter of learning for these youth from Nomadic Adivasi backgrounds, but a matter of historical awakening. Because their ancestors built these caves and in many cases, their elders continue to take care of them and are the only ones who are even aware of their existence as having ancient legacy.
In June as the rains started, we again had the privilege to visit Kapichit caves in Junnar, with more than 70 youth from over 12 villages.
