Education is one of the most important pathways to strengthening the foundations of justice-based mental health. When children from socially marginalized and oppressed backgrounds enter schools, they need a gentle breeze of equality to heal and grow.
However, our education system often falls short of offering even this simple yet essential touch of empathy and justice. To explore what such a justice-based approach truly means and how it can be nurtured collectively, Anubhuti conducted a capacity-building and awareness workshop at Gnyanamrut School in Ambernath.
The session focused on helping teachers and facilitators understand and implement equitable, inclusive, and emotionally safe educational practices. With the active participation and collaboration of the school’s teachers and organizers, the workshop created a space for reflection, dialogue, and collective learning.
Through such efforts, Anubhuti continues to strengthen the bridge between education, equity, and mental well-being ensuring that every child receives not just lessons, but the dignity and fairness they deserve.
