AnubhutI marked a remarkable beginning to its District-Level Youth Symposium, a full-day programme crafted with the intention of nurturing career leadership rooted in gender sensitivity, mental health awareness, legal understanding and social justice. This symposium is particularly designed for first-generation learners from Nomadic, Adivasi, rural and marginalised communities—young individuals who often navigate life’s challenges without access to guidance, safe spaces or supportive mentorship. AnubhutI created this training to ensure that these youth receive the tools, exposure and confidence they deserve.
With almost 150 students participating, the Thane district witnessed an inspiring gathering of young minds eager to grow, learn and express themselves. Throughout the day, the programme brought together film screenings, interactive talks, real-life experience sharing and thoughtfully designed visual aids, making complex social and emotional concepts easier to understand. For many participants, this symposium served as an introduction to deeper ideas such as mental health, emotional expression, community care and the broader framework of mental justice—concepts they rarely get the opportunity to explore within formal systems.
More than 12 schools, colleges, shelters and Ashram Shalas showed extraordinary commitment by nominating students who come from highly vulnerable and underserved socio-economic backgrounds. Their participation demonstrated a collective faith in AnubhutI’s vision of building empowered, aware and resilient youth leaders across rural and tribal belts. This district-level gathering became a shared space where each student’s voice mattered and their lived realities were acknowledged with respect.
A significant aspect of the symposium was the representation of indigenous communities. Seventy percent of the participating youth belong to Adivasi and Nomadic tribes, bringing with them a profound cultural richness and lived experience that shaped the day’s discussions. AnubhutI paid homage to the legacy of the great tribal leader Birsa Munda, whose courage, resistance and commitment to justice continue to inspire generations. His values echo in the aspirations of these young participants, and the symposium stood as a reminder that their heritage is one of strength, resilience and leadership.
Through this initiative, AnubhutI continues its mission of building platforms where marginalised youth can develop a holistic understanding of their rights, their dignity and their potential. The District-Level Symposium is not just a training—it is a movement toward shaping socially conscious, mentally aware and justice-oriented young leaders who can carry their communities forward with pride and confidence.
