We used the opportunity of the school summer vacations to hold a 3-days long  “Summer Camp” with adolescents and children from all the Community Centres.

Over the 3 days, close to 200 children came together on a journey on love and peace. 90% being from Nomadic, Denotified, Indigenous tribes, they came together from 12 communities for engaging with the topic of peace and harmony, through theater.

The theme being “I am an Indian firstly and lastly” , this force of young children representing so many diversities, showed great examples of love and care for each other. The world has much to learn from the way children, especially from the most vulnerable situations, respond to messages of peace and togetherness.

With a sustained effort from the team, youth volunteers as well as Fellows to daily bring the children to and from their homes to the training centre, as well as take care of them for the whole day and nudge them in their intellectual development during their group discussions, script writing, practice, roles division and so on.
