In one of our monthly joint workshops, all the older adolescents from all our Centres came together for the very important topic of Media and Masculinities. All the media platforms were critically looked at for patriarchal, fundamentalist religious, casteist, sexist, hateful messages. Seeing that youth are being swayed by false and misleading data that they see on their phones, it is important they gain a critical lens.
Shirish Pawar, who works in the media industry as a producer, actor and musician, came down to Badlapur to deliver this talk, bringing his vast knowledge and experience of being in the same field.
