Youth from Nomadic and Denotified, Adivasi, migratory, informal worker communities are pursuing their education overcoming a lot of struggles.

Anubhuti has started the program of LearningScholarship to be with them as a support system in this journey, where scholarships for further education are accompanied with in-depth trainings and counselling.

On occasion of Kamgar Diwas that is Labour Day, this year’s program was started with the first batch of youth who have this year appeared for class 10th and 12th board exams. Coming from culturally rich backgrounds, many already carrying out their traditional occupations with their parents, this process is more to build upon existing strengths instead of just giving general information about careers; the latter will not be useful or beneficial to these youth, whereas if they can make a connection between modern education with their traditional occupations , it will go a long way in creating positive examples for higher education for the entire community.

This is the 6th year Anubhuti’s Learning Scholarship program. Every year, the team works hard to reach youth who are first generation learners, who are the first in their families to navigate the often very difficult paths of higher education. Cultural shock, digital divide, language barriers, caste dominance and financial constraints can make the prospect of pursuing higher education formidable.. all this while shouldering several responsibilities of earning, housing challenges, taking care of younger siblings, medical emergencies, constant financial distress..

They are going through a 6-sessions course, that includes understanding of the Constitution, analysing their stage in the journey of career planning, planning for further preparations, career guidance technical trainings, etc. which are part of the Learning Scholarship program. This is a small effort in boosting their courage for the upcoming journey.

We are already running the second batch of 2025, and we aim to reach at least 200 students over the year with this training-cum-scholarship program.
