Many NGOs work with youth, where they get a platform to learn and grow. At Raahi however, Anubhuti has ensured from the beginning that the group remains our own. They do not own it or control us. We have ownership over everything – from naming the group to making our code of conduct to drafting our values. When Anubhuti members say they believe in Democracy, they really do.

Girls don’t usually get platforms like this, especially as leaders. Leaders are generally men. I’d like to change that.
